If there is one top with a print you should have in your closet for year-round use, it’s floral!
Floral tops add so much color and desire to an outfit, it’s no wonder they make a great staple in a capsule wardrobe year-round.
Many people think of floral designs to be only for spring and summer. But you can actually style a floral shirt in any season with a little help from supporting pieces and colors. Accessories and know-how are all you need to make an outfit POP!
Floral tops are both feminine and flattering and can soften an otherwise hard appearance. They are easily mixed and matched with many different bottom pieces like pants, leggings, shorts, skirts, etc.
Because they are so versatile, you would be doing a disservice to your wardrobe by not having floral tops in it! Floral tops also have an uncanny ability to look good on any type, shape, and size of a woman and all ages.
How To Wear Floral Tops
When you wear floral patterns it’s best to make them the star of the show. If you mix and match too many different patterns or colors, it can be overwhelming and clash.
Like any other top, florals can come in anything – spaghetti strap, halter top, off-the-shoulder, short sleeve, long sleeve, flowy, bodysuit, button down, and tight fitting. I’ve even seen floral-printed sweaters and sweatshirts!
Floral Outfit Ideas
I will be honest with you, until the last few years, I would steer clear of floral printed tops because I didn’t know how to wear them! That’s what we’re going to focus on each of these different outfit ideas and I will share a few ways to avoid wearing floral tops, so you can steer clear of them.
Mixing a flowy top with Spanx on the bottom
A silk floral print cami with skinny jeans
A silk floral skirt with a fitted T-shirt and black heels
Floral skirt with cotton mock neck top and combat boots with optional cardigan or sweater/jacket layer for fall and winter
Linen skirt with a floral cami for summertime
A statement necklace with a floral blouse and skinny jeans
A matching set of floral with the same print – don’t mix floral prints in the same outfit
I will help you understand how to wear them with black heels, skinny jeans, and statement necklaces as these are by far the easiest ways to wear a floral top!
Mixing a Flowy Top with Spanx on the Bottom
One of my favorite ways to wear a floral top with one of my favorite pairs of pants! Spanx sucks in and accentuates the bottom half of the body. Thus, a flowy top is best, especially if you are wearing it either tucked-in or untucked. This outfit allows you to have a waist and not look like a shapeless blob.
This goes for any outfit – if you wear something too baggy on one part of the body, especially if you have curves, you want to balance it out and make the other half of the body fit. Spanx can be worn year-round, and you can mix and match long-sleeve and short-sleeve tops to wear this outfit in spring, summer, fall, and even winter.
A Silk Floral Print Cami with Skinny Jeans
This is an easy everyday outfit or one that can be worn as casual workwear to the office or out to dinner/drinks with friends or spouses. Typically, the floral camis are a bit more flowy fitting. So skinny jeans are the perfect complement to the bottom half of the body. If you are wearing this to the office, or anywhere you want to be a bit more dressy than casual, you can throw on a blazer or jacket to give a more polished look with some black heels.
If you are running errands or living mom life, throw on a cardigan and some fun sneakers or sandals depending on the season. Quite honestly, this outfit works well in any season depending on where you live.
A Silk Floral Skirt with a Fitted T-shirt and Black Heels
This is a simple yet elevated look and can be achieved by wearing a silk floral, that tends to be more fitted around the booty and above the knees. You can fit it with either a midi or a maxi skirt, and a fitted t-shirt. Midi and maxi skirts are perfect for making a statement piece in your wardrobe in a floral print because you don’t have to think about the top.
I always recommend wearing a solid color or even a graphic that is white with black letters to keep things simple and really let the skirt stand out. The skirt needs to have its own moment If you choose a maxi skirt, you can tie a knot in it to show some skin or pair it with sandals to help lengthen your legs a bit more.
I tend to wear neutral shoes or ones that are close to my skin color when wearing a maxi skirt. Or even a midi floral skirt as it can make things too choppy and broken up in your outfit. I love black heels for this, especially if you have black in your floral skirt or you pair it with a black fitted t-shirt.
It helps the floral skirt stand out that much more and allows for a more cohesive outfit. This outfit I would recommend wearing in the spring, summer, and fall as winter tends to be a bit chilly in most places for skirts without tights, which you could easily add. But be sure to match them to the black heels.
Floral Skirt with Cotton Mock-Neck Top and Combat Boots with Optional Layers
Lately, this has been one of my go-to outfits for heading into fall because it’s always so hot in Arizona for much longer than it is anywhere else. To make it more of a fall look, I add a wide-brim hat and a pair of combat boots with my sleeveless black mock neck and floral printed skirt.
It’s simple, not overwhelming, and easy to throw on a cardigan in the morning and evening when needed and take it off when not. It’s a great outfit for fall and winter as most of the leg is covered and you can layer as much warmth as you’d like with it.
Linen Skirt with a Floral Cami for Summertime
Nothing says summer like linen and floral, the quintessential print and fabric. I personally prefer a bright floral for summer. As I think linen is a light tan color, which will perfectly complement each other when paired together. Linen tends to be one color in the print, but sometimes you can get it in stripes. I would stick with a solid color on the skirt unless the stripe or print on the linen is subtle or light. This will allow the bright floral cami to be the statement of the outfit and not cause confusion.
I think this outfit would work well in a variety of settings, depending on the length of the skirt. You could also switch the skirt out for a pair of linen shorts. Like the paper bag linen shorts that are becoming increasingly popular lately. I would suggest this outfit for running errands, patio lunches, or casual dinners. This is a great casual outfit that can go from spring to summer very easily and even late into summer.
A Statement Necklace with a Floral Blouse and Skinny Jeans
A great way to incorporate a statement necklace with a floral blouse and skinny jeans is to do a monochromatic outfit. This can be achieved by wearing a blue floral blouse and the same or very close matching skinny jeans. This helps not only the blue floral add detail but also lets the statement necklace do its job of being the statement. The floral can be light blue, medium blue, or even dark blue to match the different washes of skinny jeans. I personally know light and medium washes are hard for my body type to wear as I’m curvy and have thick thighs.
I need a darker print to be able to offset some of the thickness and create the illusion of thinning. (Not that this is a bad thing. I feel more confident in darker colors and feel it helps shape and accentuate in the right way.) This outfit is good for any season and can be worn for any situation you can think of. It’s a great casual outfit but can also be dressed up for a night out on the town depending on the statement necklace and shoes.
Style your next floral outfit with ease with these helpful tips!
While you can definitely opt for a matching set, I don’t recommend it. Personally, I’m not a fan of matching sets, because I like to have variety and options, so I don’t match prints or patterns often. Even if I purchase a matching set, I tend to wear the pieces separately from one another. Wearing floral prints can be an easy way to do a one-and-done outfit if you do a matching set, so that can create ease in your wardrobe.
It’s really not necessary to be afraid of wearing floral prints year-round, and I hope I’ve helped with easing your fear. I feel the easiest way to add floral into your wardrobe is with a floral top, and hope these outfit ideas have given you a place to start and explore your own floral blouse outfits.
I’d love to know which outfit is your favorite and one that you wear and I didn’t cover so please share with us below!
If you haven’t heard of bike shorts yet, let me tell you about one of my favorite outfit ideas for summer. I played volleyball in my middle and high school years, and what we now call bike shorts, we simply called “spandex” back then. I know, very general. This was before leggings were a thing and cooler than jeans.
Bike shorts come in 4-inch, 7-inch, and 11-inch lengths and are usually seen on cyclists riding bikes. Sometimes they have pockets, sometimes not. Sometimes they have a print, and sometimes they are a solid color. Many celebrities have been spotted sporting them recently. So now, I’m going to show you how YOU can create the same looks you see online!
How to Style Bike Shorts 10 Ways
I like bike shorts because they are super easy to wear, and below I’m going to show you how to style bike shorts in 4 ways! Let’s go!
As Loungewear
By far, these are the easiest and most comfy clothes to wear around the house or to run errands. I like to pair mine with a sweatshirt and slippers to help keep me warm, but not too hot. It is the ultimate comfort outfit when you just need a day off.
These TopShop biker shorts add a bit of style to any outfit with the animal print. I usually pair it with a neutral or solid sweatshirt to keep things balanced. The Madewell slippers I’m wearing are so soft and comfy! They complete biker shorts outfits along with a tank or tee under the sweatshirt.
Embrace Athleticism
Embrace the sporty look by pairing your bike sports with a comfy sports bra or crop top along with sneakers or sporty sandals. Adding a baseball cap or another sport-type hat can help to enhance the athletic aesthetic. If it’s a little chilly, you can layer up with a zip-up sports jacket or sweatshirt.
This outfit is perfect for a day running errands or for a casual brunch with friends. It is definitely one of my go-tos!
Opt for Bohemian Vibes
Pair some funky patterned bike shorts with a flow blouse tucked into them. Layer with a crochet vest or kimono. To finish off the look, add some sandals or ankle boots and accessorize with a fringed, cross-body bag. This look is easy and great for festivals, outdoor markets, or a relaxed day with loved ones.
Graphic Tees And Biker Shorts
This style will be on repeat for this summer! I love the ease of this outfit! Living in Arizona, I’m always on the hunt for an outfit to keep me cool, yet stylish. Take this trend and twin it with your littles, or take it and make it streetwear with a shoulder bag, your favorite mask, and kicks.
Or, take it on a walk with your pooch and family for some fresh air. Play around with the lengths of the shorts to see what works for you too. I love the 4-inch option but sometimes the 7 or 11-inch options are better, depending on the outfit.
Black is and has been a staple in my closet, especially when it comes to my thick thighs. I find that if I want to make them appear slimmer, the long options are my best bet.
Places to shop for bike shorts are Nike, Nordstrom, Fabletics, American Eagle, Target, and several others. If you want options that stretch or those that will “hold you in” I recommend more workout-style brands to wear with your biker shorts. If you want shorts that are a little more relaxed, go for the cotton options. I prefer the brands that are meant for working out, but the animal print ones are Topshop and I own a few from American Eagle and Target too.
Accessorise Your Fit
Accessories play a really important role in all outfits. If you don’t accessorise right, your look won’t be complete. Consider adding a little belt bag, also known as a fanny pack, worn around your waist or across your chest for a trendy and functional accessory.
Sunglasses are yet another way to make a statement. Choose a pair with bold frames to elevate your look with some luxury appeal. You can experiment with a range of different accessories to see what you like best!
Business Casual
Never did I think I could use the term “business casual” with bike shorts, but it’s possible! Choose bike shorts in a plain, flat color and pair them with a crisp, button down shirt tucked in. Over the top, add a nice blazer. Loafers or pointy-toed shoes are the best way to finish off this kind of outfit.
Dressed Up with a Tank
This is a great option if you want to dress up your black bike shorts to take them out for a girl’s day or date night. I prefer the longer length, either 7 or 11 inches, for this option as I feel it’s a bit more dressy. I put on a plain but slightly detailed tank and did a little tuck in the front. And I love the EverEve option because they hold up and are also priced right. I also slipped on a pair of Sam Edelman slide sandals to complete the outfit.
Don’t Be Afraid to Experiment
Experimenting is a super fun and crucial element of choosing an outfit. Don’t be afraid to try out some new textures, colors, and patterns. I never used to be a cheetah print girl, but when it comes to my bike shorts, I LOVE to experiment with new things. It helps me escape my comfort zone and feel confident stepping out with a new look.
Dressed up with a Cardigan
A cardigan is always on deck here in Arizona because it’s over 100 outside but usually below 80 inside! I love the option of a long cardigan or kimono to complete the dressy look without much effort. I kept this outfit simple because these are most likely pieces you have in your closet right now, and you’d be able to wear this tomorrow without much effort. The cardigan or kimono makes this a simple outfit you can take from brunch with the girls to date night with your spouse.
Add Casual Layers
For a laid-back and effortless look, try adding some casual layers to your outfit. You can layer your bike shorts with oversized graphic tees, hoodies, or a denim-look shirt. if you prefer something a little more fitted, feel free to tie a knot in the front of your oversized tee to show off your waistline. This casual, layered approach is ideal for weekends or casual outings.
How Should Bike Shorts Fit?
Choosing and fitting your bike shorts properly is a super important part of pulling these outfits off. Here are some of my favourite tips for fitting bike shorts to you and your outfit!
Snug, but not constricting.
Your bike shorts should be a good, snug fit, but shouldn’t make you feel uncomfortable or constricted. This also helps to prevent chafing or any discomfort.
Make sure the waistband is suitable.
Making sure you pick a waistband that suits your body type is super important! For example, I LOVE a thick waistband that keeps my shorts in place and doesn’t dig into my skin.
Choose the right length.
The length of the shorts will greatly effect your comfort and style! Make sure you choose a length that goes with your outfit and makes you feel good about yourself. This tip is all about personal preference.

This athleisure style has been popularized by street style stars and can be worn as an extra layer under denim jackets or as a standalone fashion statement. While some people may be hesitant to try this trend, our editorial team is here to show you how easy it is to style bike shorts. Whether you pair them with an oversized blazer or a crop top, there are endless outfit ideas to wear with biker shorts.
And if you’re still unsure, just take a cue from Princess Diana who was often photographed wearing this 80s and 90s staple. So don’t be afraid to experiment with this trend – we guarantee you’ll be surprised by how versatile a pair of bike shorts can be. And don’t forget, you can still wear them to work out as well! I hope this was helpful for you in getting some of the items in your closet styled! Please let me know if you have other ways you love to style bike shorts so I can give them a try too!
As I walk into a bustling thrift store, surrounded by racks filled with unique clothing and shelves adorned with quirky knick-knacks, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement. The rise of mainstream media has undoubtedly made thrifting hip and trendy, but the truth is, buying second hand has been practiced for many years. In this blog post, I want to share my thoughts and experiences on the benefits of shopping second hand, debunking the misconception that it’s solely for those on a tight budget. Let’s delve into the reasons why buying second hand not only benefits you but also contributes positively to the environment.
9 Reasons To Shop Second Hand
1. Higher-Quality Items for a Cheaper Price:
Underneath the charm of mainstream fashion, there lies a market that thrives on high prices and fast fashion trends. When buying secondhand clothing, you have the opportunity to find well-crafted, high-quality items at a fraction of their original cost. Clothing and goods that have stood the test of time often possess superior durability and craftsmanship thanks to high-quality materials, allowing you to build a wardrobe or furnish your home with items that will last. If you prefer to shop second hand whenever, you need to get the ShopShops app: https://shopshops.info/r/yn
2. Decreasing Carbon Footprint:
The fashion industry is notorious for its impact on the environment. By embracing secondhand shopping, you actively participate in reducing carbon emissions and textile waste, which means you’re reducing the number of clothes that ultimately pile up in landfills. The circular economy model is at play here, where unwanted clothes and goods are given a new lease on life, eliminating the need for additional production and its associated environmental consequences.
3. Saving Resources and Decreasing Environmental Pollution:
In line with reducing carbon emissions, shopping second hand also helps conserve valuable resources. When we buy pre-loved items, we diminish the demand for new production, which saves water, energy, and raw materials. Furthermore, secondhand shopping minimizes environmental pollution caused by the extraction, manufacturing, and transportation processes involved in producing new goods.
4. Encouraging Community Building:
Thrifting is not just about scoring unique finds; it also fosters a sense of community. Local charity shops, thrift stores, and consignment shops often function as meeting places where like-minded individuals come together, exchanging stories and tips on the best finds. Supporting these mom-and-pop establishments helps create stronger, more vibrant communities.
5. Discovering Your Style:
Shopping for second-hand clothes presents an opportunity for self-expression. With an abundance of diverse and unique items, you can experiment with different styles, mix and match, and create a wardrobe that reflects your individuality. Embracing secondhand fashion encourages creativity and allows you to cultivate a style that stands out from the mainstream.
6. Supporting Small Businesses:
While the rise of e-commerce giants has dominated the retail landscape, shopping secondhand gives you a chance to support local businesses. Many thrift stores and consignment shops are independently owned and operated, providing a platform for small businesses to thrive. By buying secondhand, you contribute to the growth and sustainability of these local enterprises.
7. Finding Unique Items:
If you’re tired of the homogeneity of mass-produced goods, secondhand shopping is your answer. From vintage clothing to one-of-a-kind home decor pieces, the world of secondhand offers a treasure trove of unique finds that cannot be replicated by mass-market retailers. Unearth hidden gems and add a touch of individuality to your life.
8. Changing Your Perspective in Life:
Adopting a secondhand shopping mindset extends beyond material possessions. It encourages a shift in perspective, prompting us to reevaluate our consumption habits. By buying secondhand, we challenge the notion that constant acquisition is the path to happiness. It allows us to focus on things that truly matter, such as experiences, relationships, and personal growth.
If you are looking for authentic luxury goods to buy preloved or second hand, you must check out the ShopShops app and download to get the best prices and shop with confidence knowing they are authentic: https://shopshopslive.com
9. Having Fun
Last, but certainly not least, shopping for secondhand clothing is fun! It’s different than shopping anywhere else because you truly don’t know what to expect every time you walk through the doors of a secondhand store, even if you’ve been there before. And many of them are so full of merchandise that browsing feels like an actual treasure hunt. Add in the fun of finding over-the-top oddities and you have a guaranteed good time!
Tips For Shopping Secondhand Fashion
Set Your Budget
Despite the lower prices, the cost of secondhand clothing can add up quickly if you’re not careful. It’s important to know your budget before you walk through the doors. Determine how much you’re willing to spend and stick to it. Once you hit your limit, head to checkout. Otherwise you’ll be tempted to overspend and end up regretting it later on.
Try Everything On
It can be tempting to buy something that catches your eye simply because of the low price. But as you might already know, sizes fit differently from one brand to the next. Before you hand over your hard-earned cash for an item, try it on. This way you’ll know it fits and you like the way it looks on you.
Check The Price Online
It’s always exciting to find highly sought-after pieces, but you still want to make sure you’re paying a reasonable price for them. This is especially important for any gently-used name-brand or designer items you find. You want to make sure the second-hand stores you’re shopping at price their items fairly. Pull out your phone and do a quick Google search for the item to determine its retail price.
When we buy secondhand, we unlock a world of benefits that go beyond financial savings. It’s a conscious choice that contributes to the environment, supports local businesses, and to embrace our unique style. From saving money to reducing carbon emissions, shopping second hand aligns with the principles of sustainability and responsible consumerism. So, the next time you embark on a shopping adventure, consider stepping into a thrift store, charity shop, or consignment shop. Explore the world of secondhand treasures and make a positive impact while finding items that bring joy and character into your life. Embrace the beauty of buying second hand and join the movement towards a more eco-friendly and mindful way of shopping.

Styling tips for each dress
It’s no secret that summer is the season for fashion. The warm weather and longer days provide the perfect opportunity to break out your wardrobe and experiment with new trends. However, with so many choices available, it can be difficult to know where to start, let alone how to wear them. Here are some tips on how to style different dresses for summer.
First, consider a classic maxi dress.
This timeless style is perfect for a day spent exploring the city or relaxing on the beach. Pair it with a denim jacket and some sneakers for a chic daytime look, or dress it up with some heels and statement earrings for a night on the town.
Next, a flowy sundress is a summer staple.
Whether you choose a floral print or a solid color (I prefer a warmer color like hot pink), this dress style is sure to turn heads. To keep it from looking too whimsical, pair it with some chunky jewelry or a leather jacket.
If you’re looking for something a little more adventurous, try a printed midi dress.
This style is ideal for showing off your personality and standing out from the crowd. Just be sure to keep the rest of your outfit simple to avoid looking overly busy. Consider pairing this bold style with neutral accessories and simple makeup to let your statement piece shine.
If you are headed to the beach or want to ensure you are cool, try a mini dress.
A mini dress is perfect for hot summer days when you want to show off some skin but avoid overheating. Just be sure to pair it with flats or sandals to avoid looking too casual. To dress up your mini dress, consider adding some statement jewelry and a pair of wedges for a chic and sophisticated look.
Shirt dresses dress are the anytime, anywhere dress.
One of the many reasons a shirt dress is a must-have is because it’s versatile enough to wear just about anywhere, anytime. Dress it up or keep it casual, the best way to wear a shirt dress is with shoes and accessories that make you feel your best.
Finally, if you have a busy day planned, an activewear dress will keep you comfortable and cool.
Whether you’re sweating on the tennis court or from loading shopping bags in your trunk, an activewear dress with a comfy pair of sandals or sneakers is one summer dress you don’t want to go without.

As each new season approaches, it’s important to take a look at what you wear most often, what can carry over into the next season, and what may no longer work for you. That’s why I thought it was important today to talk about a few must-have summer essentials for women!
I prefer to have a few capsule items that work for all seasons, which I keep in rotation and have a few different variations to work with.
Also – summer for me may be a bit different or longer then where you live, because Arizona starts to get summer temps around May and doesn’t end until about October or November.
Another thing to note, my wardrobe essentials sometimes blend together because it’s so hot outside and the air conditioners are so cold inside, that it’s necessary to have a summer uniform with a sweater from winter.
Summer Essentials for Women
I keep it light, bright, and airy! And sometimes mix in some saturated colors to give a little variety.
Most summer days, you can find me in a white t shirt, a tank top, denim shorts, rompers/jumpsuits, skirts, or a maxi dress with a slit to allow for air flow!
For nights and the indoors with cool air conditioning, I keep a denim jacket or lightweight cardigan or kimono handy. Sometimes you can sneak in a pair of white jeans with ballet flats or heel sandals and stay cool.
And when I’m outside or around the pool, it’s a straw hat because I’ve done enough damage to my skin!
Because the kiddos are home in the summer, and have swim lessons at least once a week, while still maintaining all of our other activities a hat is necessary. On the note of swim lessons, a crossbody bag is a staple to carry everything. With super hot temps, my wardrobe essentials are usually on repeat weekly!
– I probably own about 5 of the same white t shirt because it transitions so well and is lightweight.
A white tee is so easy to pair with so many things, and can be taken from morning to night. My favorite way to wear a white tee is with a pair of skinny jeans and ballet flats. These are summer wardrobe staples for me.
– The next thing I always stock up on are easy graphic tanks and tees.
They are good layering pieces when it’s time to put on a sweater or denim jacket but stand alone as a casual outfit option. I love these for summer fashion but also to cross over from spring into fall.
– Air conditioning is no joke when temps are over 100 outside so having a good jean jacket, kimono, or lightweight cardigan are a must!
Here is a post with some of my favorites!
– I don’t have a ton of denim shorts. But the ones I do have are on repeat!
I like to have a distressed pair for casual outfits and then a rolled pair for a dressy outfit. I recently got this pair of white denim jean shorts I’m in love with!
– A small variation of shorts I wear so often is bike shorts.
They have become super popular this year and you can buy them in just about every color of the rainbow. I did a whole blog post on them for you to check out my favorites here. These are so perfect and ideal for summer style but also work well from spring into fall with a sweater.
– Skirts are high on the list, right along with shorts.
They allow a quick, effortless outfit that can be dressed up or down, and usually transition well into the other seasons. I either do an above the knee fit or a maxi skirt that has a slit or can be tied to ensure airflow happens! Check out some of my faves here.
– I’m so glad jumpsuits and rompers have made a comeback from the 90’s!
As a kid, and for my girls, they were the easiest outfit to throw on and go out the door. If I’m being honest, I sometimes find it hard to fit into a jumpsuit or romper properly these days because I am not the same size in tops and bottoms. Typically, I’m a Small or oversized Medium in tops and a tight Medium or Large in bottoms. That doesn’t stop my hunt for some of my favorite jumpsuits and rompers though! – The most popular outfit I probably wear is a dress if I’m being honest.
Dresses are the absolute easiest outfit for summer, I think. My youngest, Finlee, is obsessed with dresses so much so that I don’t know why I have shorts or tee shirts for her 🙁 Dresses on their own are an outfit, but also can be layered with a denim jacket or a cardigan so easily! A shirt dress is one example that I wear a different variation of each week. Make sure to check out my post here on all of my favorite summer dresses.
– We all know I love my fair share of sneakers (peep that blog post here) but sandals are a close second in my eyes for summer.
Wedges and strappy heels have also been known to make quite an appearance because they do take an outfit up the extra notch. When I’m on the go doing Mom life or managing our rental properties, sandals and flats are necessary!
– Because I’m on the go so often with the kids, it’s important I have a bag that carries everything!
When we travel, I use a carryall tote that usually ends up more full with the girls’ things than my own. Same for summer.
The most important part of a summer wardrobe is being able to mix and match the pieces together. Because there’s such a drastic change from inside to outside, or when you travel to a different climate than you are used to, making sure you have a versatile wardrobe is important. Here are a few style tips for you to choose from or draw inspiration for your own summer wardrobe.
Summer Outfit Ideas
Casual Flower Skirt Outfit
I love embodying the spirit of casual summer with my effortlessly chic floral-print skirt and gray tank top combination. The lightweight fabric ensures I stay comfortable even when the summer heat is at its peak. For a stylish touch on cooler evenings, I throw on a blue denim jacket to elevate my ensemble and provide an extra layer of warmth.
Tie-dye Dress Outfit
:This summer, I’m embracing my bold side with my vibrant and colorful tie-dye dress, rather than a classic white dress. This tie-dye dress is a key piece in my summer capsule wardrobe. The eye-catching pattern and lightweight material make it the perfect choice for outdoor festivals, lively parties, or simply soaking up the sun. I can’t wait to showcase my unique style and flair with this stunning dress.
Pink Beach Outfit
I’ve often reveled in the warmth of summer with my vibrant pink beach outfit. It features a large pink t-shirt, sun hat, and stylish flip flops. The cheerful color and airy fabrics keep me cool and fashionable as I enjoy long summer days by the shore.
Geometric Pattern Blue Bodysuit Outfit
Every time I wear this geometric pattern blue bodysuit I’ve turned heads! It’s perfect for poolside lounging or a fun night out. The unique design and flattering fit make it a chic and comfortable option for any summer occasion. Complete the look with a pair of white sneakers or a straw bag for added style and flair.
Striped Romper Outfit
The versatile striped romper is a must-have addition to my summer wardrobe essentials. Its easy-to-wear design and breathable summer clothing material make it ideal for beach trips, backyard barbecues, or casual outings. I accentuate the look with a cozy red cardigan, adding a pop of color and warmth on those cooler summer nights.

If you follow me over on Instagram, you know that I live for a good Faux Leather Legging, so it should be no surprise that I wanted to share 4 ways to Wear Faux Leather Leggings.
In all honesty, I’ve been putting off this post because I couldn’t decide how many and which ways to share! I wear them almost every day. And with everything from sparkly kimonos to sweatshirts and slippers. There is no wrong way to wear faux leather leggings, only the way you choose on that day!
Before we head into it, know, like every other post, this may contain affiliate links and that lets me keep doing this little blog and putting together these ideas for you 🙂
10 Ways to Wear Faux Leather Leggings
That being said, I have to say my favorite brand is Spanx faux leather leggings. I hands down probably own at least 6 pairs and I’ve never done a partnership with them! I legitimately love them and think they hold you the best when you want compression.
So, like I mentioned before, you can wear faux leather leggings with literally anything and everything! I’m going to go through what shirts, tops, shoes, sweaters, and boots are my favorite to wear with Spanx. I will also mention a few other places where you can pick up faux leather leggings if Spanx isn’t in your budget.
Let’s get started with the tops to wear with Spanx faux leather leggings.
Tops to Wear with Spanx Faux Leather Leggings
Depending on the print of your faux leather leggings, and how brave you want to be with your fashion, will depend on the top you wear. I love to mix the original print of the faux leather leggings with a floral top. You can see the blog post I did on How to Wear a Floral Top HERE, which one of the ways was with leggings and boots. Another top I love to wear with faux leather leggings is a plain ole white tee. This is the simplest of outfits, but it is one of my weekly go toos! With the white tee, you can literally build and layer anything and everything on top and not worry about it clashing or messing up the outfit.
Shirts To Wear With Faux Leather Leggings
I always do a front tuck or a half tuck and let the rest hang out. I don’t have an issue if the top doesn’t cover my bum, some people do. But that’s not something I worry about. In the summertime, a tank top or graphic tee works well with faux leather leggings especially if you are going for an athleisure look or actually want to work out in your faux leather leggings. If you need an extra layer, don’t be afraid to add a denim jacket, or even a matching leather jacket for an edgier look.
I have been known to wear the leggings in the morning and then not want to change out of them into other leggings, so I just wear them to ride or lift. They hold in place and are like other compression leggings when you need them to stay. Once you are done with your workout, or before your workout, you can wear a cropped top or sports bra. And it can act as your top with your high waisted faux leather leggings. Less laundry, still in style, I’d call it a win win!
How To Dress Up Faux Leather Leggings
I believe faux leather leggings can be a wardrobe staple in an office setting, if you are covering the bum. So think a tunic top, or a longer jacket or shacket. When I was still working in an office setting, you better believe I was rocking a pair of leggings (before the faux leather ones came out) at least 2 days a week. I would create a faux leather leggings outfit with dressy button up tops, a long sleeve dressier top, a jacket, or even a tunic that was longer to keep HR at bay.
Oftentimes, you can wear a cami and a blazer with a pair of heels or pumps to pass as sometimes more dressed up than the guys. If your office is super strict, you can wear a shorter dress than would be allowed at work with the faux leather leggings under to keep you warm and safe from trouble as well.
Any and all tops work!
Now, when we go to dinner for date night, or out with girlfriends, a sparkly cami, a tube top, or even an off the shoulder top will do the trick to show the skin that’s not shown on the bottom half of your body. Any and all tops work for faux leather leggings!
On that note, let’s discuss what shoes you can wear.
Shoes to Wear with Faux Leather Leggings
As you can imagine with the different tops to wear with faux leather leggings, there are endless shoes to wear as well. I have over 100 pairs of shoes in my closet and I can honestly say I’ve worn every pair at some point with my Spanx faux leather leggings. I don’t believe I can say that about every other pant I have in my closet. We will break down the different boots to wear next. So I won’t mention those here.
Back in my clubbing and bar scene days, I loved to wear a good pump.
I was also known to take them off when walking to the next bar because my feet hurt. One of those things you get older and wiser about, but also I’ve learned to wear a pump and not take them off. Especially when they make my outfit with my leggings!
Equally, I love a good sneaker and the high top ones really make a faux leather legging pop in a contrasting color. Low top white sneakers give a little peak of the skin around the ankle, which can help break up the color, especially if you are wearing a sweater with them. When traveling, I wear my workout sneakers so I don’t have to pack them. But also because they work so well with faux leather leggings. And no one thinks twice about it. The compression in the leggings helps to keep the swelling down from travel. And the sneakers let me get through the airport and wrangling kids with ease.
Spring, summer, and fall mean sandals are the ideal choice, and with good reason.
The ability to show some skin whether it be your arms, stomach, or collar bones up top is balanced by the skin shown on your feet. Along with this, mules, flats, and loafers make good office shoes to wear with the faux leather leggings easily showing skin that won’t get you in trouble or be uncomfortable. These shoes are perfect for running errands as well.
Now, let’s chat about some boots you can wear.
Boots to Wear with Faux Leather Leggings
Because the faux leather leggings hug tight to your legs, they make the perfect choice for boots. If you are someone with big calves and legs like me, you need all the room you can get for your legs, not the material you are wearing. I don’t often wear over the knee boots, or really anything above the calf. But when I do, you better believe it’s with faux leather leggings. Nothing else will fit my leg and the material comfortably. If you don’t struggle like us big legged gals, then you can wear whatever you want with your OTK boots but for the rest of us, let’s stick to the faux leather leggings shall we?
Most days, I do love to slip on a pair of UGGs with my leggings, when I’m in a hurry and wanting to be comfy and cozy. But don’t forget you can also wear chelsea boots, combat boots, and booties too.
Sweaters to Wear with Faux Leather Leggings
Generally, faux leather leggings are form-fitting, so a chunky or oversized sweater is a big win here. But really, if you are looking for a slim-fitting outfit from top to bottom, fitted sweaters also work. There’s really no limit to what and how you wear a sweater with faux leather leggings because they flatter every kind. If you are looking for some sweater inspiration, I wrote a blog post to help you understand which you need in your closet. Many of them are paired with faux leather leggings, and you can find that post here.
Along with Sweaters, you can also wear kimonos very easily with these types of pants, especially if you are wanting some bum coverage. I shared how to wear a kimono with leggings in this post.
