Self-esteem is the way you view yourself and your abilities. Improving your self-esteem is of the utmost importance, as it can help you become more successful in life and handle the challenges of life better. Healthy self-esteem can give you the confidence you need to achieve your goals. There are many reasons why people have low self-esteem, such as past experiences or negative thoughts about themselves. Everyone experiences moments of low self-esteem from time to time, but if long-term negative self-esteem develops, it can affect all aspects of your life. In this blog post, we will discuss what self-esteem is, how it develops, and how you can build up your self-esteem!
How To Build Up Your Self-Esteem
1. What is self-esteem and why is it important
When we talk about self-esteem, we’re talking about how much we like and respect ourselves. People with high self-esteem feel pretty good about themselves most of the time. They know their strengths and weaknesses and they accept themselves just the way they are. People with low self-esteem don’t feel as good about themselves. It’s not that they think they’re terrible people, but they might compare themselves to others a lot and focus on the ways they don’t measure up. Or, they might put so much pressure on themselves to be perfect that they can never feel good enough no matter what they do.
Why is self-esteem important? Well, people with high self-esteem are more likely to take care of themselves both physically and mentally. They’re less likely to get into risky situations like using drugs or engaging in risky sexual behavior. They’re also more likely to stick with it when things get tough because they believe in their ability to overcome obstacles.
So how do you build up your self-esteem?
Pay attention to the things you say to yourself. Are you always putting yourself down or pointing out your flaws? If so, try to catch yourself and counter those thoughts with something positive. For example, “I’m such an idiot” could become “I made a mistake but I’m smart enough to learn from it.”Practicing self-care is also important. Make sure you’re taking care of your physical needs by eating healthy foods, getting regular exercise, and getting enough sleep. And don’t forget to schedule some time for activities that make you happy! When you take care of yourself mentally and physically, it’ll be easier to feel good about yourself.
Lastly, remember that everyone has flaws and nobody is perfect! Everyone deserves respect and kindness, including you! Just because you make a mistake doesn’t mean you’re a bad person. Be patient with yourself as you work on building confidence and self-esteem. Like anything else, it takes practice but it’s worth it! A healthy level of self-esteem can improve your mental health overall and lead to a happier life.
2. How does self-esteem develop
People’s self-esteem develops from day to day and long-term experiences. People with high self-esteem feel good about themselves most of the time. They see themselves as worthwhile, capable people and believe they can deal with the challenges life presents. They tend to take risks, bounce back from setbacks, and handle criticism well. People with low self-esteem may feel bad about themselves most of the time. They see themselves as unworthy and incapable and believe they can’t handle the challenges life presents. They often avoid taking risks and may have trouble bouncing back from setbacks and handling criticism. No matter what your level of self-esteem is, there are things you can do to improve it. Taking care of yourself, setting realistic goals, and spending time with positive people are just a few things that can help. So don’t wait – start building up your self-esteem today!
3. How can you build up your self-esteem
How can you build up your self-esteem? Well, there are a lot of things you can do. Being nice to yourself is one way. Recognizing what you are good at is another. Learning to be assertive is yet another strategy. And focusing on what you can change is yet another way to boost your self-esteem. Remembering that everyone makes mistakes is also important. Doing what makes you happy is yet another way to feel good about yourself. And celebrating small wins is also a great way to feel good about yourself. Surrounding yourself with supportive people is yet another way to boost your self-esteem. And finally, getting medical advice from a doctor or therapist can also be helpful. So there are a lot of things you can do to build up your self-esteem. Just spend some time thinking about what would work best for you and then take action!
4. The benefits of having a healthy self-esteem
People with healthy self-esteem feel good about themselves. They feel confident and can deal with day-to-day issues and problems. People with healthy self-esteem are also able to set boundaries, which means they know when to say “no” to things. They’re not afraid to stand up for themselves, and they don’t let others put them down. People with healthy self-esteem know their worth, and they don’t compare themselves to others. Instead, they accept themselves for who they are. Having healthy self-esteem can help you in all areas of your life – from your relationships to your work life. It can also help you stay motivated and reach your goals. So if you’re looking to build up your self-esteem, remember that it’s not about being perfect – it’s about accepting yourself for who you are and valuing yourself as a person.
5. The dangers of low self-esteem
A lot of people think that having low self-esteem means you think you’re not good enough. But it’s way more than that. It’s when you have negative thoughts about yourself regularly and feel bad about yourself most of the time. It can make you not want to do anything or be around anyone because you feel like everyone is better than you. Low self-esteem can have a really big impact on your life and the way you see yourself. That’s why it’s important to build up your self-esteem if you think you might have low self-esteem.
There are lots of ways to do that, but some things that might help are thinking positive thoughts about yourself, doing things that make you feel good, and being around people who make you feel good about yourself. If you have low self-esteem, don’t worry, there are lots of people who feel the same way and there are ways to get through it.
6. How to deal with moments of low self-esteem
It’s normal to have moments where you feel bad about yourself. Maybe you made a mistake or someone said something that made you feel terrible. Whatever the reason, it’s okay to feel down sometimes. However, it’s important to remember that these thoughts are just temporary. They don’t define who you are as a person. If you’re finding it hard to shake off negative thoughts, there are some things you can do to make yourself feel better.
First, try to be accepting of yourself. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect. Remind yourself of your good qualities and the things you’re proud of. Second, be patient with yourself. It takes time to build up self-esteem, but if you keep working at it, you’ll get there eventually. Lastly, surround yourself with positive people who make you feel good about yourself. They can help give you the boost you need when you’re feeling low. If you keep these things in mind, you’ll be on your way to having strong self-esteem in no time!
Sure thing, girlfriend! Let’s talk about building up that self-esteem and feeling like the queen you are. Life can throw some curveballs, but we can work on our self-worth in the midst of difficult situations and relationships. Here are 4 ways to do just that:
7. Surround Yourself with the Right People
We all have people in our lives who make us feel great and those who make us feel like we’re less-than. It’s important to focus on the relationships with people that build us up and avoid the ones that tear us down. Spend time with people in your life who appreciate you for who you are and who lift you up. Make new friends who share your interests and values. Remember, you deserve to be valued and loved just the way you are.
8. Take Control of Your Social Media
Social media can be a double-edged sword when it comes to self-esteem. On the one hand, it can make us feel connected to others and boost our confidence. On the other hand, it can be a comparison trap that leaves us feeling inadequate. Take control of your social media by limiting your time on it and unfollowing accounts that make you feel bad about yourself. Use social media as a tool to connect and uplift, not to tear yourself down.
9. Embrace Life’s Challenges and Life Events
It’s easy to avoid challenges and life events when we’re feeling down about ourselves. But those events and challenges can be opportunities for growth and development. Embrace them as chances to learn and improve. Whether it’s taking on a new project at work or signing up for a fitness class, push yourself out of your comfort zone and show yourself what you’re capable of accomplishing.
10. Cultivate a Positive Sense of Self Worth
At the end of the day, building up your self-esteem is about cultivating a positive sense of self-worth. Focus on your strengths and accomplishments, both big and small. Talk to yourself the way you would talk to a dear friend. Learn to love yourself for who you are, flaws and all. Believe in your potential and the unique value you bring to the world. When you cultivate a positive sense of self-worth, the outside world can’t determine your value. You determine your own worth.
Self-esteem is an important part of life. It allows us to feel good about ourselves and handle the challenges of life with confidence. There are a lot of things you can do to build up your self-esteem, including thinking positive thoughts, doing things that make you feel good, and being around people who make you feel good about yourself. If you have poor self-esteem, don’t worry – there are lots of people who feel the same way and there are ways to get through it. Just remember that it’s normal to have moments where you feel bad about yourself, but these thoughts are just temporary. You’re worth fighting for!
A sweater is a fall staple like a swim suit is a summer staple. You can’t nearly get through the season without a few in your closet. I like sweaters that carry from fall into winter and then right into spring. That being said, I prefer comfort over chic or dressy. But I like to mix it up as well. Thank goodness the weather is finally cooling down at night and in the mornings to wear sweaters.
This season and year, it’s been about the oversized look and that’s no different this fall with sweaters. A sweater is a good staple piece under a jacket or blazer. But also a topper over a button-up blouse or tank top. A good sweater will stand a few seasons and look like was a new add to the closet. Now is the perfect time to embrace sweater weather. So I am sharing my favorite sweater must have for every closet.
Fall Sweaters Your Closet Needs
Fall sweaters are my favorite to shop for. And here’s a few of my favorites this season along with a few ways to style them. You may notice several of the same style or color or multiple ways to wear a sweater as I like to have a fall capsule wardrobe that can be worn many ways. A sweater is a great layering piece and so essential for fall into winter fashion.
Cable Sweater
This classic keeps coming back around year after year with a refresh for the season. I do have a few of these cable sweaters from a few years ago. And I think the cable part keeps getting chunkier and chunkier each year. Either way, you can style them for fall all the way through spring and possibly summer on those cooler nights. These sweaters come in all cuts, shapes, and sizes. And also look good on almost all body types. They are a great layering piece either over a long sleeve top/tee, or under a jacket or vest. My personal favorite way to wear a cable sweater is oversized. And even grab the mens line before oversized became so trendy this year. I love to wear them with a pair of skinny jeans and tall boots. Or sneakers depending on the look I’m going for.
Cozy Sweater
I probably have the most of this sweater in my closet. There’s something about a cozy, soft, knit sweater that makes me feel all warm inside, literally and figuratively! My favorite lines of cozy sweaters are from Free People and Barefoot Dreams. Both of these have higher price tags. But when you get them on, it feels like heaven, it’s so soft! I always find when I wear specific sweaters from these two brands, my hubby snuggles up much more than usual. (Hint to the ladies and guys there!)
The cozy sweaters I have have a bit of a longer sleeve that billows making them extra warm for my hands and wrists. These sweaters come in all sizes, shapes, and I have even seen a few color block sweaters in the cozy material – you know when you see it it’s going to be soft and cozy – so these are perfect for every body. This type of sweater can be thin, or can be very thick, making them perfect for fall and winter.
Chunky Sweaters
Chunky Sweaters are the ones I feel like pop up most often in a Google search. When cold weather hits, these are the ones I reach for most often because they are perfect as a top layer or under a vest. I do love a good turtleneck chunky sweater even if I did make fun of my mom growing up and into my 20’s for wearing them all the time! The difference is, the oversized part. Oversized wasn’t a thing until late last year, early this year. So the oversize chunky sweater might be something you recently or have yet to add to your closet.
Another great way to wear this style is as a chunky sweater cardigan. Both options come in almost every color, come cropped. And are great for all sizes and shapes. Because you can always add a belt around the waist to give yourself a waist if you want.
Knit Sweater
When I think of knit sweaters, I always think of the cute sweaters that don’t do much on the warmth side, or the other extreme where you sweat to death! I am sure a chunky knit can be in the middle, but I’ve yet to find one. When I lived in Indiana, these were all I wore because I don’t do well in winter or cold. Because of this, I still want to wear the super warm chunky knit here in AZ, but always sweat to death. I usually have a lighter knit that I throw a t shirt underneath in case I still get too warm.
Knits make great versatile pieces for layering and you can sometimes find a turtleneck sweater that is a tunic length and make it into a dress. The oversized knit sweaters I like to wear with leggings or skinny jeans to give some sort of shape to my body, even if it’s impossible to tell on my upper half that I do have a shape. As with all the other sweater types, this one too comes in every shape, size, color, and pattern you could imagine.
Cardigan Sweater
Another one of my favorite ways to wear a sweater and have two different outfits with the same sweater is with a cardigan sweater. My favorite are the ones with buttons or snaps as these easily convert to a sweater dress with leggings if you need some extra warmth! Many times, when you think of a cardigan sweater, you think of Grandpa’s sweater with the lower buttons and the longer V neckline.
Those are some of the best-oversized sweaters around, but I also love the ones that can be used as a dress. Very similar to the kimono, where it’s multi-functional in the wardrobe. A cardigan sweater can be shorter, cropped, full length, with or without buttons, and also cross over to the athleisure space. These are staples and I have at least 5 of these in my closet that range in warmth level to very little to extreme warmth, in as many colors too.
Distressed Sweater
The amount of distressing in a sweater determines if it will provide actual warmth, or if you can wear it in fall in Arizona! I love these sweaters because they stay so hot in Arizona for so long into the fall that sweaters are quite difficult to wear without sweating to death. The fall season here doesn’t usually start until October when temps actually drop at night, but this year, we didn’t get below 90 degrees until November. A distressed sweater is a sign of relief for us desert dwellers because it allows us to still have fall wardrobe essentials while keeping cool. These sweaters are always great for layering with a cami under or over a summer dress you want to take into fall. They also work great for those cooler nights in summer when a sweater is needed.
I have seen distressed sweaters with a chunky knit, in a cozy material, off-the-shoulder, cropped, cable, basically, they come in every style and with as little or as much distressing as you can get while still holding the sweater together. I prefer sweaters that are distressed around the neckline and the bottom hem to be able to wear them more ways but have worn super distressed sweaters on occasion. These are the perfect sweaters for fall because of their style.
Cropped Sweater
This is probably the least worn sweater I have in my closet, mostly because it’s new to me. I have always struggled with loving my stomach and waistline, so I don’t often shop for this type. However, these do make cute fall sweaters that help me keep cooler than usual in a sweater here in Arizona. I often find myself reaching for this type of sweater when I’m wearing leggings or athleisure when it’s chilly in the morning and warm in the afternoon. These also work really well with high-waisted jeans with a little front tuck and sometimes a long blazer jacket over top. These are great for anyone wanting to show a little skin, or not have so much bulk when wearing a sweater. The weight of these can range from super lightweight to very warm, and they come in all sizes and color patterns.
Off the Shoulder Sweater
If you are looking for a cute sweater that’s good for date night and girls’ nights, look to the Off the Shoulder Sweater. When I, and maybe you, think of a sweater, I tend to think everything is covered and no skin is showing. I want warmth when I wear a sweater. With off-the-shoulder though, you get to bring back a little bit of sexiness into an otherwise very conservative option. This cute sweater works so well to bring in a hint of bare skin that we all can use when other areas of our figure are hidden.
An off-the-shoulder sweater comes in any color, in most fabrics, and is even popular in the athleisure space. I believe it’s always good to have an off-the-shoulder sweater in your closet for those times when you want to feel a little fancy. Off the shoulder are also great options to use as a cover-up for a maxi dress or other summer dresses to transition to fall.
Here are a few of the different types of women’s sweaters I love along with where you can grab them besides the ones listed above.
Each of the photos is an affiliate link, so if you use them, I get a little bit of commission that helps me continue doing this for you! <3
Hey, it’s getting cooler out! Time to bust out the sweaters. But not just any old sweaters. This is fall, so we need sweaters that will keep us warm and look good too.
I’ve been looking around and I’ve found some great sweaters for this season. For instance, I found this really cool cashmere sweater. It comes in a range of colors, so you can mix and match with different outfits. And it’s high quality, so it’ll last through a lot of wear and tear.
Another great option is a sweater vest. They’re perfect for layering and they come in lots of different styles. You can find them in knit, wool, or even faux fur! So there’s definitely something for everyone.
And don’t forget about trench coats! They’re perfect for those fall days when the weather isn’t quite sure what it wants to do. They’ll keep you warm and they come in lots of different colors and styles too.
So go ahead and stock up on sweaters for this fall! You won’t regret it.

Blogging is a gift that keeps on giving. It is writing, alright, but it’s more than that. In reality, bloggers tend to wear many hats, especially when starting, and don’t have a team to help them with SEO, content promotion, digital marketing, etc. It is physically and mentally demanding because blogging needs a strategy focused on the frequency of posting and its readability. Reader engagement, more often than not, is the primary goal of a blogger. So, when a blog has quality content, an audience that resonates with it will take the conversation to conversions. In this post, I’m sharing some productivity tips for bloggers.
Productivity Tips for Bloggers
In a blogger’s life, there are wins and struggles too. There are days when you feel like you’re on top of the marketing world, and you can write all the incredible stuff without missing a beat. Then there are days when you start a blog, and all you can twist out of your mind is a single sentence. What takes your focus can be overwhelming, such as the demands needed by the other hats you’re wearing. Tasks can be super time-consuming and can leave you feeling more drained than ever.
I can get easily distracted when it comes to my blog work, and overthinking my to-do list usually puts my writing on the back burner. When this happens, I feel overwhelmed, which further affects my productivity. I know how most bloggers think this way. And if you’re one of us, here’s a roundup of tips that can help you finish as much as tasks as you can and still save time so you can relax and do other things outside of blogging.
Maintaining a to-do list
To keep things on track, a blogger must maintain a to-do list. Make sure that it is simple and not vague. Sometimes to-do lists can be stifling, but if you add on it the more significant purpose your task will serve you, it might make a difference, why completing those tasks is essential in a grander scale of things. Also, take note of what tasks don’t add value to your purpose as a blogger and your other functions. It helps, too, for some, when a job is set daily or weekly in terms of frequency and then breaks your large to-do tasks and keeps them smaller and more precise. You could even use you’re Google calendar as a to-do list, blocking out times during the day to make sure you’re spending time on the top priority task at hand.
Disabling phone notifications
Beat procrastination by disabling your phone notifications, usually from social media posts and email. Push notifications can get into your productivity flow and your momentum. Paying attention simultaneously to two things is not viable. A study shows that it takes about 23 minutes to get back to your main task when you previously switched it. It’s advisable to not check your email while writing.
For bloggers, this makes your train of thought scattered and leaves you feeling unaccomplished. So, go ahead and turn your notifications off -both your smartphones and desktops. Perhaps set it to airplane mode and use apps that have this functionality for increasing productivity. Be intentional about how you use technology as a blogger, it can be helpful, but it also creates a habit that keeps you from focusing and being efficient.
Using the Pomodoro technique
A lot of my blogger friends swear by the effectiveness of the Pomodoro Technique. In Italian, Pomodoro means tomato. It is a widely known method for time management and was developed in the 1980s by Francesco Cirillo, a university student with focus issues. He developed the Pomodoro Technique by observing how 10 minutes of focused study time is adequate for him.
If you feel like your writing can zero distraction and stay focused, according to this technique, take some frequent breaks, which helps sustain concentration. Here’s a sample of how to do it:
Get a timer and set up your to-do list.
Set your timer for 25 minutes and keep your focus on the task at hand.
When it ends, take note of what you completed
Give yourself a five-minute break.
By the time you finish four pomodoros, a refreshing 15-30-minute break is the next step
Using productivity tools
Getting more done in a lesser amount of time is every blogger’s dream. How to get this habit done consistently is doable. Use a strategy with the help of productivity apps. Don’t use everything, just a few that work for you.
For a blogger, you have these core components that you must constantly monitor focus, organization, and automation. Try checking on apps that help you track your time better, like Toggl. For organizing your files, Dropbox and Google Drive are great options. Also, invest in a tool that enables you to manage your password like LastPass, and create boards for your projects like Asana, Hemingway App, and Grammarly for writing.
The most important part here is what tools or apps can help you streamline your processes both as a blogger and if you have a day job! So use only tools that serve you, making your blogging more effective and efficient.
Creating a blog post outlines first
The ever-present need to organize is another common trait of bloggers, especially regarding thoughts about their blog content. It’s all about ensuring that your stream of consciousness is aptly and succinctly translated to the webpage. It’s the reason why writing a good outline is the way to go. Getting your thoughts organized sensibly and logically helps you manage your full-time well, increasing your outputs’ readability.
I love outlining because it also keeps my memory sharp, especially when it comes to subtopics I tend to forget. So how to do it? First, ask yourself if your topic is worth writing about. It lays the groundwork for your piece, then researches similar topics online and what you can add to the value that other bloggers have. From this, you can start plotting your outline with subtopics and points so that your outline flow is logical.
Taking advantage of automation
Lastly, find ways to automate your blog. It’s a game-changer. Mostly because sometimes writer’s block plays a major factor in productivity, and automating your other admin duties can lead to a less cluttered mind. Imagine being so productive you’re able to free up much of your time to spend on other things that you enjoy, like a vacation or a 30-minute coffee time. The ways to streamline your blogging process are limitless, but I suggest you start by putting your blog posts on autopilot. Use apps that function to facilitate your blogging system, like keyword research, topics for different posts, etc. Anything you think could work not only for auto-posting but also for syncing and scheduling.
If you’re like most bloggers, you probably spend a lot of time on social media, talking on the phone, and checking your email.
While these activities are necessary for promoting your blog and growing your audience, they can also be huge time-wasters. To be a productive blogger, you need to set goals and then focus on achieving them. One way to do this is to write your posts in advance and schedule them to go live at specific times. That way, you’re not spending hours every day writing new content. You can also use tools like Facebook’s scheduling feature to pre-schedule your posts. That way, you can batch your work and stay on top of your social media traffic.
Another productivity tip is to stop checking your email so often. If you’re spending hours every day checking and responding to messages, you’re wasting valuable time that could be spent writing new posts or promoting your existing content. So unplug from email for a few hours each day and focus on being productive. Lastly, consider using affiliate links in your blog posts. This is a great way to generate passive income while still providing valuable content to your readers. When you include affiliate links in your posts, you earn a small commission when someone clicks on the link making less work for you and more money. These are just a few ideas to help you get more done and be more productive as a blogger.
It’s no secret that emotions play a huge role in our lives. How we feel daily can dictate how we interact with the world around us, and how productive we are. While it’s impossible to always be happy, it is possible to be mindful of our emotions and take steps to improve our moods. Mindfulness is a type of meditation practice of being present in the moment. It can be practiced through various forms of meditation, or simply by paying attention to your thoughts and feelings as they happen. While mindfulness may seem like a simple concept, it can be difficult to put into practice. In this blog post, we will discuss some tips for being more mindful of your emotions, and how this can lead to a happier and more productive life!
Being Aware Of Your Emotions
How to be more mindful of your emotions
Learning how to be mindful of your emotions can help improve your overall emotional intelligence. It can provide you with the tools that you need to soothe challenging emotions and create spaces for you to reflect on a situation before reacting. Doing so can also have several benefits, such as reducing stress, improving communication, and increasing self-awareness.
One of the most important aspects of understanding emotions is recognizing and labeling them. This involves acknowledging your feelings without judgment and allowing yourself to experience them fully. It may also be helpful to identify the triggers that lead to certain strong emotions. For example, if you tend to feel anger when someone cuts you off in traffic, recognizing this trigger can help you prevent the anger from taking over.
Another helpful tip is to practice mindful breathing. This can be done by focusing on your breath and slowly inhaling and exhaling. Doing this can help you focus on the present moment and clear your mind of any negative thoughts or emotions. Mindful breathing can also help to reduce stress and anxiety levels.
Practicing mindfulness takes time and patience, but it is well worth the effort. By becoming more aware of your emotions, you can learn to control them instead of letting them control you. As a result, you will likely find yourself feeling happier and more emotionally balanced overall.
Benefits of mindfulness
Your emotions are always arising in the present moment, and it’s helpful to be mindful of them so you can understand them and healthily manage them. One way to be mindful of your emotions is to notice the bodily sensations they produce. For example, you might notice that fear creates a tightening in your chest, or that joy produces lightness in your step. Once you’re aware of the bodily sensations associated with your emotions, you can start to notice them as they arise. This helps you to become more present with your emotions and to understand them better.
Another way to be mindful of your emotions is to let go of the need to control them. It’s natural to want to avoid negative emotions like sadness or anxiety, but trying to control your emotions can make them worse. Instead, it’s important to allow yourself to experience all of your emotions, even the ones you don’t like. This allows you to understand them better, and it also helps you develop trust in relationships. When you’re able to be open and honest about your emotions, it helps other people understand you better too.
Being mindful of your emotion regulation can help you develop better EQ in the long run. If you’re able to understand and manage your emotions healthily, you’ll likely find yourself more successful in both your personal and professional life. You’ll be better able to communicate with others, and you’ll also be less likely to let your emotions get the best of you. As a result, you’ll probably find yourself feeling happier overall.
